A Certificate of Analysis can support procurement only when it connects to the material being evaluated and its methods are understood.
Check the product name, lot number, report identifier, test date and issuing laboratory. A generic certificate without a matching lot cannot characterize a specific vial.
Mass spectrometry may support identity. Reverse-phase HPLC may describe chromatographic purity. Peptide content, water, counter-ion and residual-solvent measurements address other characteristics. One percentage cannot answer every question.
